Our 6-Step Mortgage Process

Clear, personal, and stress-free — here’s how we help you secure the right mortgage from start to finish.

1. Book Your Appointment – Let’s Talk

Get started by reaching out to us directly or booking online. Just click the icons on our service pages to be redirected to our secure external booking system. Once your appointment is confirmed, we’ll call you at your chosen time and date.

In this first conversation, we’ll take time to understand you, your mortgage goals, and your financial circumstances. We’ll also request any specific documents needed to give you an accurate assessment — and get you moving in the right direction.

2. Decision in Principle – Your Mortgage Foundations

After your initial consultation, we’ll carry out tailored research based on your situation to secure a Decision in Principle (DIP). This is a vital part of the process, especially if you’re still house-hunting.

With your DIP in hand, you’ll be in a much stronger position when making an offer — many estate agents require this as proof you’re serious and financially prepared.

3. Offer Accepted – Let’s Get Things Moving

Found the one? Amazing! As soon as your offer is accepted, let us know. We’ll get things moving quickly by gathering property-specific details and understanding the type of mortgage deal you're aiming for.

This is where we shift gears from planning to action — and start bringing everything together for your formal mortgage application.

4. Mortgage Recommendation – Tailored to You

We’ll schedule a second appointment to present your personalised mortgage recommendation.

We’ll walk you through:

  • The lender and loan structure

  • Monthly repayments

  • Interest rate and fees

  • Any key features of the deal

At the same time, we’ll introduce you to protection options — including life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection — to help secure your mortgage and financial future.

We’ll explain everything in plain English so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

5. Application Submission – Getting It Over the Line

Now it’s time to gather the final documents we need. Once we’ve reviewed and confirmed everything, we’ll submit your full mortgage application to the lender on your behalf.

We’ll handle the paperwork, stay in touch with the lender, and keep you updated every step of the way — no chasing, no guesswork.

6. Mortgage Offer & Completion – Time to Celebrate

Once your mortgage is formally offered, the baton passes to your conveyancer, who will carry out the legal work to finalise the purchase. They’ll coordinate with all parties and set your completion date — the moment you officially get the keys!

We stay in contact throughout the process to make sure nothing gets missed and you feel supported up until the day you move in.
