At Dent and Cook Mortgage Brokers, we believe great service starts with real stories and real people — and Tom’s story is exactly that.

Tom began his career flipping burgers at McDonald’s, learning early the value of hard work, discipline, and excellent customer service. Eager to grow, he transitioned into the world of finance as a bank teller, where he quickly discovered a passion for helping people manage and improve their financial lives.

That passion led Tom to pursue a career in mortgage advising, where he rose through the ranks to become one of the top-earning advisors at L&C Mortgages — one of the UK’s most prestigious and respected brokerage firms. Over the years, he helped hundreds of clients find the right home loans, build their property portfolios, and make smarter financial decisions.

But success alone wasn’t enough.

Driven by a desire to offer a more personal, flexible, and truly client-first experience, Tom took the leap and founded Dent and Cook Mortgage Brokers. His goal? To create a business built on honesty, clarity, and tailored support — where clients are treated like individuals, not just case numbers.

Why do you need my data and what will it be used for?

We need to know your basic personal data so we can contact you and respond to your message, request or query. All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK.

 

Who is my data shared with?

Your data will only be shared with third parties if this is necessary to respond to your request. If this is the case, we will seek your permission before passing on your details.

 

How long do you keep my data for?

We may store your data for up to six years past the end of any business relationship, after which time it will be securely destroyed. What are my rights?

You have the right to object to the processing of your data. You also have the right to request access to your data at any time. You have the right to rectification and/or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing. Dent and Cook is an Appointed Representative of Stonebridge Mortgage Solutions Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct  Authority. 

There may be a fee for arranging your mortgage. The precise amount will be disclosed on your initial appointment as it is dependant on your circumstances. Our typical fee is £495. 

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. You may have to pay and Early Repayment Charge to your existing lender if you remortgage. Not all Buy to Let mortgages are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.
